Hog and Spit Roasts Prices 2010

All our pigs are reared in either Essex or Suffolk.
Lambs and beef are locally sourced.
Baps are day fresh from our baker.
Our carvers all have RIPH hygiene certificates.
We have full public liability insurance.

Carving A Roast Lamb Option 1 – the classic Essex Hog Roast
For 100 people: a whole pig with 100 white and/or wholemeal 5” baps, great crackling and apple sauce, with chef/carver included at £600.

Option 2 – the Free Ranger
For 100 people: as above, with a free range, naturally fed pig from the famous Blythburgh herd in Suffolk at £650.

Option 3 – for 100 Really Hungry People!
Whole pig with great crackling and apple sauce, 100 Butcher’s sausages with ketchup and mustard, 150 white and/or wholemeal 5” baps, with chef/carver at £700.

Boatyard Option 4 – the English Lamb Roast
For up to 45/50 people: a whole lamb spiked with rosemary and garlic (or not as you prefer) with mint sauce and redcurrant jelly, with chef/carver at £520.

Option 5 – a Real Feast for 100 People!
Whole pig with great crackling, apple sauce and chef/carver.
100 Butcher’s sausages with ketchup and mustard.
100 white and/or wholemeal 5” baps with butter.
Hot new potatoes with parsley and butter OR homemade potato salad.
Mediterranean salad (tomato/cucumber/red pepper/black olives/fresh herbs).
Mixed green salad with vinaigrette and balsamic dressing.
Potato Salad Homemade coleslaw.
100 non-bendy biodegradable plates and cutlery.
Quality serviettes included.
All the above at £1250.

With one extra staff to top up, tidy and help serve the salads at £1300.

For breads and/or roll selection (poppy seed, ciabatta, wholemeal plait, country loaf, French stick, baps) please add £30.

We can provide proper crockery, cutlery and linen if required for this option.

Canapes Option 6 – Beef Spit Roast
A spit of top quality beef fore rib aged for 21 days, feeds up to 40 people per spit. We can provide organic beef. Served with French bread or baps, horseradish and mustard. Please ask for details price varies seasonally.

Minimum order for 20 people as an addition to a hog or lamb roast.

You can also add on spits of gammon, turkey or chicken – depending on numbers and availability. Please ask for details.

To add to any of our menus, prices for 100 portions:

100 Butcher’s sausages at £90.
Sausage meat stuffing at £45.
Sage and onion stuffing at £25.
Ketchup and mustard at £20.
Butter (2 pats each) £20.

Option 7 – Suckling Pig
For 12 to 25 people: Cook it yourself and amaze your friends! We deliver a suckling pig in it’s oven and ready to cook. Makes a great centrepiece for a smaller gathering. Collected and returned by yourself at £400.

Option 8 – DIY Hog Roast for 100 People
Whole, uncooked pig spitted in the oven and ready to cook. With gas bottle, tools, instructions, collected and returned clean by yourself, at £400.

*Option 6 and 7 only within a 25 mile radius. Delivered and collected by us please add £40.

*Option 6 and 7 customers must pay a £200 cash deposit on delivery of pig and kit, refundable on return of equipment intact and undamaged.

We charge mileage at 50p per mile. PLEASE ADD VAT TO ALL PRICES.
The ovens measure approx 76 x 120 cms and are HEAVY with a pig inside, so please no stairs, or more than a couple of steps – when chef WILL need help.
